And it’s not just about clothes. With over 100 stalls stretching over a kilometre along Tung Choi Street in Kowloon, you’ll also find bags, accessories, toys, cosmetics and plethora of household goodies.

- Decades before Hong Kong’s commercial boom, the only work for many people was hawking – so in 1975 the Hong Kong government defined an ‘authorised hawking zone’
- 20 zones were allocated in Kowloon – the first being this section of Tung Choi Street between Argyle Street and Shan Tung Street
- The most popular wares were ladies clothes – so it became known as Ladies’ Market
